The Independent Forged Hollow MID 159 Skateboard Trucks are designed for skaters who want lightweight performance, improved flip trick control, and maximum grind clearance in a lower profile setup. Built with a forged baseplate, hollow axle, and Independent’s first inverted kingpin system, these trucks deliver responsive turning with reduced weight and excellent durability.
The MID geometry features a lower profile hanger that improves contact point angle on the nose and tail, helping create quicker flip response and better control during technical street skating, ledges, manuals, and flatground tricks.
Standing 50.5 mm tall, the Forged Hollow MID is optimized for wheels 52 mm and under while maintaining excellent wheel clearance and stable predictable board feel.
The forged 6061 aluminum baseplate reduces weight while maintaining strength and durability, while the hollow Chromoly steel axle helps keep the setup light without sacrificing reliability during heavy skating.
The newly designed inverted Grade 8 kingpin improves grind clearance and can be adjusted using either a standard 9/16" wrench or 5.5 mm Allen key. Independent’s innovative steel shaft nut with nylon locking insert helps eliminate unwanted lateral movement commonly found in traditional inverted kingpin systems.
Built on Independent’s legendary turning geometry with full-size cushions for maximum turning response, the Forged Hollow MID combines lightweight construction with precise technical performance.
