The Powell Peralta Chris Hiett Skull FLIGHT® 8,5'' combines modern high-performance construction with a powerful first pro graphic created in collaboration with Vernon Courtlandt Johnson.
The artwork features a skeleton exploding from a jack-in-the-box, symbolising individuality, transformation, and breaking outside limitations. The graphic also took on deeper meaning during production when VCJ experienced a heart attack while working on the artwork, creating an unexpected connection between the art and real life events.
The new size 8.5'' width paired with a 14'' wheelbase creates a a faster and responsive skating, bowls, cruising, creative street skating. The 6.5'' nose and 6,5'' tail kicks allow for modern street skating while keeping a great old school shape and vibe.
Its directional shape combined with the K26 concave delivers smooth flick, responsive control, and strong overall pop with a medium-to-mellow board feel.
Built using Powell’s advanced FLIGHT® construction, the deck is thinner, stronger, and designed to maintain long-lasting pop significantly longer than traditional 7-ply maple decks. The fiber-reinforced epoxy construction increases durability, rebound, and snap while reducing breakage.
Manufactured in the USA using U.S. hard rock maple, high-strength fiberglass, and AirLam epoxy fused construction.
