New Santa Cruz decks are now at Nordic Skateboard Supply

New Santa Cruz decks are now at Nordic Skateboard Supply, with a mix of wider 9-inch shapes, twin tail pro decks, VX/TriX construction models and an all-new Winkowski micro deck. The new drop includes pro model decks from Natas Kaupas, Jake Wooten, Mario McCoy, Robert Pace, Tom Asta, Eric Dressen and Eric Winkowski, with sizes ranging from 8.2" up to 9.3".

The wider Santa Cruz decks in the drop include:

  • Santa Cruz Dressen Rose Crew Five: 9.3", 7-ply Canadian maple
  • Santa Cruz Natas Kaupas Shattered Panther VX: 9.0", TriX construction
  • Santa Cruz Forging Dot: 9.0", 7-ply Canadian maple

The Dressen Rose Crew Five 9.3" is the widest deck in the drop. At 9.3" wide and 32.36" long, it gives you plenty of foot space on the board. It also has an adjustable 14.5" / 15" wheelbase, so you can set it up for either a slightly quicker turn or a longer, more stable ride.

The Natas Kaupas Shattered Panther 9.0" VX is another wide option, but with a more regular 32.15" length and 14.25" wheelbase. It uses the all-new TriX VX construction, a five-ply design reinforced with two layers of Quad-AX fibreglass, helping the deck stay thinner, lighter and more durable while maintaining pop and a responsive feel.

The Forging Dot 9.0" has one of the most interesting setups in the drop. It is 9.0" wide, but has a short 13.875" wheelbase, giving it a quicker, more responsive feel than many decks in that width. If you like a wider board but still want lively turning and fast direction changes, this is the one to look at.

There are also several twin tail decks in the new Santa Cruz drop:

  • Santa Cruz Jake Wooten Cyber VX Twin Tail: 8.5"
  • Santa Cruz Mario McCoy Battle VX Twin: 8.25"
  • Santa Cruz Pace Death Trap: 8.7"
  • Santa Cruz Tom Asta Cosmic Cat Twin Tail: 8.2"

Twin tail shapes are great if you want a reversible board that feels the same no matter which way around you have it. They provide a consistent feel in both directions, making switch tricks and fakie skating easier.

The Mario McCoy Battle 8.25" VX Twin and Tom Asta Cosmic Cat 8.2" are the more technical options in the drop. The Tom Asta deck has a symmetrical twin tail shape with a 6.7" nose and 6.7" tail, giving it an identical feel in both directions.

The Jake Wooten Cyber 8.5" VX Twin gives you a little more width and stability while still keeping the twin tail feel. It is a good option if you want something that works for technical skating but also feels comfortable in parks and transition.

The Robert Pace Death Trap 8.7" sits between a technical twin tail and a wider all-around board. With a compact 31.82" length and 14" wheelbase, it gives a quick and lively feel under the feet, while the 8.7" width adds more landing room and stability.

The Santa Cruz Winkowski Dope Planet Freaks Micro 8.75" is only 27.5" long, with a short 12.5" wheelbase. That makes it a fun-sized version of a big Winkowski board, shrinking the overall size for a quicker, more playful ride.
