Originally released in 1997, the Mike Vallely Lightning Bolt symbolizes the second and most enduring act of Vallely’s long career: his desire, dedication, and determination to positively promote skateboarding.
Throughout the mid-to-late 90’s and into the 2000’s, as the popularity of skateboarding grew, Mike toured relentlessly. From parking lots to skate shops, from backyard ramps to skate parks, from city streets to shopping malls—Vallely’s passion and drive to welcome young people all over the world into skateboarding, and to share all that he had learned goes unmatched. His “never give up” message of individuality and self-expression is woven into the very fabric of the sport. Through it all, the Lightning Bolt has become as iconic and as meaningful to skateboarding and skateboarders as Vallely’s Elephant graphic from the 80’s.

Longer lasting - The epoxy infused, fiber reinforced structure of the Flight deck is extremely resistant to breaking, and this structure gives them "everlasting pop" that doesn't fade as your deck slowly wears.
Ollies higher because of greater rebound and snap.
Team testing suggests that Flight decks will last several times longer than a 7-ply, making them a great value as well as a superior performing skateboard.

K26 Concave:
Powell Peralta’s K26 is a symmetrical, double kick mold with a familiar medium-to-mellow concave. The redesigned nose and tail are set closer together than on the K20 and feature a larger radius, allowing for smoother, more precise flicks and tons of pop. The K26 also accommodates a variety of deck shapes, up to 9.75" wide, with wheelbases of up to 14.5". The K26 is the first concave designed to optimize the flex and pop of Flight deck construction, but it feels great on 7-ply too!
